bifeo3.m
This tutorial uses optmagk
to determine the propagation vector $k$ of the spin cycloid in
multiferroic BiFeO3
The tutorial is split into sections in the m-file bifeo3.m
. Each section can be run
individually using the Ctrl+Enter shortcut. What the sections do is described in the comments.
The spin cycloid in BiFeO3 arises due to the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction
If this would be zero, BiFeO3 would have a simple G-type antiferromagnetic structure
The tutorial will lead you through the calculation of $k$ as a function of the strength of the DM and Heisenberg exchange interactions
